About

The Treehouse Institute researches political ideas and public policy relating to free culture, the intellectual commons, and the Pirate social and political movement.

Treehouse, founded May 2010,  is guided by the principles of open society and aims to play a key role in pioneering copyright and patent reform, expanding personal freedom, and redressing the balance between corporate monopolies on information and social benefit of free ideas.

The Institute shares its work through its briefing papers, website and blog, reports, and other publications.
